Magnetic Filters are used where ever ferrous metal particles can
appear in hydraulic or lubricating fluids. Metal particles may be
caused by normal machine wear of moving parts, stress flaking,
maintenance machining or other factors. These minute particles are
abrasive and can cause excessive wear to vital components and
premature failure to many systems , if not removed. |

filters use the same plugs as standard pipe thread drain plugs except
an alnico rod magnet has been inserted into one end. These magnets are
normally used in the bottom of a tank or sump; Sometimes, they are
mounted at the side close to the bottom, and occasionally mounted at
the top with a long alnico rod magnet.
Note: In some applications, longer lengths of magnets may be
used. Clearance and other concerns should be addressed.
